How do you get the birdseed in the game Aveyond?

Posted by Filed Under Seed Bird Feeder with 2 Comments

I tried giving the battering ram to the squirrels but they only gave me a fiestick, and I tried reporting about the corn being stolen, but they gave me nothing(I mean about the Brumwich villagers), and so, I’m wondering what to give to the squirrels or what I have to do in order to get the birdseed.

Why does it take so long for birds to find the bird feeder?

Posted by Filed Under Seed Bird Feeder with 2 Comments

Okay heres the deal. I bought a bird feeder a few months ago and it took 2 or 3 days before birds started to come. But they made such a huge mess all over my deck I took it down.

So yesterday I bought another kind of bird feeder that will keep the seed from getting all over my deck.

I keep seeing bird fly by, but no one stops for a bite!

So why does it take 2 – 3 days for the birds to figure out theres food in there? Because once they figure it out, lots and lots of birds come all day long!

Taking Back the Birdfeeder

Posted by Filed Under Seed Bird Feeder with 2 Comments

August 23, 2008: Both the deer and the squirrels have enjoyed the seed in my birdfeeders. The deer could easily eat the seed in the long cylindrical feeder, cleaning it out in one visit. They haven’t been successful with this new feeder. However, my lawn is filled with clover, so they have plenty to eat. When I took down the cylindrical feeder and replaced it with this round one that holds only sunflower seeds, the squirrels stayed away— for about one day. Now they’ve figured it out. The birds seemed suspicious at first, but as you can see, they have now accepted the new feeder. They make more visits than the squirrels, so I guess we can say they have reclaimed the feeder. Black-oil sunflower seed is the most popular choice of seed eating birds. This seed has a high percentage of meat and is a very nutritious source of high quality protein. The softer outer shell makes it easy for smaller birds like chickadees, nuthatches, titmice, goldfinches, pine siskins and finches. The seed also boasts a high concentration of oil, which is especially important in the winter.

What should I use to hang the bird feeder that the squirrels can't chew through?

Posted by Filed Under Seed Bird Feeder with 5 Comments

Every morning we wake up and the bird feeder is lying on the ground. The string we are using to hang the birdfeeder apparently isn’t working. I was thinking about getting that wire from the craft store they use to hang picture frames. Any other suggestions?

How does a bird know that a seed, re: food, is inside a shell?

I mean no smell, no other indication that there is something inside a shell. And if a bird does figure it out by some freak happening, how did he let all the other birds in the world know??? I have no idea!!!

Will bird seed grow flowers?

Posted by Filed Under Seed Bird Feeder with 5 Comments

I am thinking of growing sunflowers, and was just reading online that some birdseed actually sprouts flowers when birds knock it onto the ground from the feeder, and i was wondering: If i buy birdseed that is only made up of sunflower seeds, will they grow into sunflower plants? Buying seeds to plant is more expensive than buying bird food, but isnt it the same thing? Thanks in advance!

How do birds know a feeder is full? Smell? Sight? Within 15 minutes of filling my feeder they were all over i?

Posted by Filed Under Seed Bird Feeder with 2 Comments

I left my feeder empty for a week and the chickadees and tufted tit-mice (tit-mouses?) weren’t coming around anymore. It had been at least 5 or 6 days since even one bird had come, and when I filled the feeder with seed again they were all over it within 15 minutes! Do they see it and recognize it? Do they smell it? How do they know it’s there? Squirrels are the same way.
