Great footage! How did you film the Woodpecker when it was in the tree? I tried to film them in a local wood but the bird was extremely timid and would fly off when I got within 100 metres or so.

Well Andrew i measured the distance when she left the frame it was 11 feet from bird to lens, i was setup on a hole in tree about 25 feet away, sat still with hat on, normal cloths and BINGO she came to hole right beside me. I then very slowly got her in the frame refocused ( just ) and she was there for 4 min 28 secs, my heart was pumping like mad it was amazing, now that makes up for the hours ive spent and filmed nothing

Superb quality filming. Great shots of the woodpecker. I couldn’t tell the difference between hd and normal quality before, but with this in hd it felt like I was there, amazing! *****
