If I feed wild birds to much food will they over eat like fish and die?

Me and my sister put bird seed around our house and in bird feeders. they finished a whole bag in a very short period of time is this like bad??

NO they eat until they are full then, they will come back and eat again. Birds need to stay light to fly so their metabolism is VERY high. Birds generally poop around every 15 to 20 minutes so they are digesting their food very fast. Also some flocks are coming in to feed which may have 20 to 30 or more birds all eating the same food you put out. If they finish the bag put out more and they will be happy. The birds around my house finished a 5lb bag in approx. 2 days. It is great that you are helping them find food!!!

It probably won’t hurt them, unless meat is a natural part of their diet, and even at that, it shouldn’t be a problem. They will know when to stop eating, and they need to eat a lot since flying and staying warm require a lot of energy.
