I bought one of these baffles to prevent squirrels from climbing down the line and emptying the bird feeder. Unfortunately, the baffle just wasn’t wide enough to stop them from holding on with their back feet and reaching the line below. So I bought another one.

A hawk swooped down on the feeders in front of our living room window, trying to catch one of the songbirds there. They all scattered, except this one little Carolina wren. She hunkered down in the seed tray of the feeder and waited until the hawk was gone, then flew away. I shot this through the living room window (the feeder is inches away from it).
