Time To Feed The Wild Birds
July 12, 2011 Seed Bird Feeder
Fall is the year of fo time to start feeding wild birds. This is the time that their population is the largest growth-including the migration of birds and inhabitants throughout the year. The birds that migrate, especially, need fat supplied by seeds for their journey to the South. Fall is also the time that birds shed and replace their feathers. This activity also causes a need for more and better nutrition.
Birds usually do not know where to find food. But by dispersing the crumbs of bread and crackers around the power supply, this will cause them to find the power source in no time. Make your backyard a regular stop on their travels, migrating North and South. It’s a wonder how beautiful these scavengers are small pieces of bread crumbs. But, then, the very nature, is a marvel.
Since winter is the season when food for birds is scarcer and birds need more food to survive the cold, you must make sure the food you provide gives them a greater amount of energy. Suet, corn and sunflower seeds are the best source of energy to eat insects.
